Owned by Norma Carr and the late Dr. E Wayne Carr, and managed by Jim & Chris Keeter, the Carr Farm property was first homesteaded in 1882 and has been the home to 5 generations of the family.
The present pheasant hunt preserve is the fulfillment of a life long dream of Wayne, which is the family’s incentive to maintain and preserve the personal family touch and commitment to providing the best hunting experience possible. Having grown up in a hunting family, Wayne also served many years as a South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks commissioner.
